It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 9/20/2021

What I Read

I finally read Last Night at the Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo and I honestly don’t know why it took me so long! It’s currently on the long list for the National Book Award for Young People’s Literature. I loved how the story moved between characters and time periods. And it was definitely unlike anything I’ve really read before. I actually received this one as a gift from a Top Ten Tuesday list I created for the theme Bookish Wishes.

I also started Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore on a whim. I found it as I was browsing OverDrive so I checked it out for the weekend. It’s a fun story so far and has definite Bridgerton vibes, so it might be a great read-alike suggestion.

What I’m Planning to Read

I’m hoping to jump back into some middle grade titles this week. I’ve been anxiously awaiting Saadia Faruqi’s most recent title Yusuf Azeem Is Not a Hero. I’m also hoping to read One Kid’s Trash by Jamie Sumner. I’ve enjoyed her other middle grade titles, so I’ve got high hopes for this one too! There are some amazing new books coming out in the next few weeks, check back tomorrow for my Fall TBR list.
