It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 3/8/2021

What I Read

I’m still not reading up to my typical level, but here’s hoping I can get to a little more this week. I had to work on Saturday and we’re renovating one of our bathrooms which took some time on Sunday cutting into my reading time. But, really I’m just making up excuses. I need to just choose to read rather than watch TV until I fall asleep on the couch!

The Great Pet Heist

The Great Pet Heist was so cute! It was entertaining and fun with adorable characters with a plotline described as “Ocean’s Eleven meets The Secret Life of Pets” which is a very accurate description. Full of cute animals, lots of adventure, this is a perfect chapter book for kids who are ready to start reading a little longer story with the support of illustrations.

Scavenge the Stars

I’m in the middle of this right now and really enjoying the intrigue! I’m curious to see where it goes in the next week. I also have the sequel, so I can jump right into the next one.

What I’m Planning to Read

New week, new reading plan! I’m going to finish Scavenge the Stars and then I’ll see what happens next. Since my reading plans haven’t been working out lately, I’m going to just see what interests me. I’ve got a bunch of titles on my literal TBR shelf.

March is Women’s History Month, so I’m going to do something similar to what I did for Black History Month. This month, though, I’m going to focus on biographies of women. There are so many amazing picture book biographies available, so I’ll be posting a new title every day on my Instagram during the month of March. So, stop by and let me know what you think! There are so many amazing books to share!

What else have you been reading lately?
