Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Meant to Read In 2020 but Didn’t Get To

I wrote my Top Ten Tuesday post last week and when it went live, I realized that I had skipped a theme week. So, if you’re looking for New-to-Me Authors I Read in 2020, you’ll find that post from last week. This week, I’m backtracking just a bit to make sure I post Books I Meant to Read In 2020 but Didn’t Get To.

It doesn’t matter how much I read from year to year, I never get to everything I want to! I always think I’ll get a chance to read them, but inevitably, new books are being published and some of these might fall by the wayside. On the other hand, I’ve heard great things about all of these, so maybe I’ll find a little room in my schedule to fit these in!

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Meant to Read In 2020 but Didn’t Get To

  1. Class Act by Jerry Craft
The sequel to New Kid, I literally have this on my bookshelf and I’ve yet to read it!
  2. Get a Grip, Vivy Cohen! by Sarah Kapit
I’m adding this to my Winter Reading Challenge as my award-winning title! Kill two birds with one stone.
  3. Ghost Squad by Claribel A. Ortega
I’ve heard amazing things about this book and I absolutely love the cover. Now, to find the time to read it!
  4. Land of the Cranes by Aida Salazar
I’ve heard this is a difficult, but important read and I’m definitely keeping it on my TBR.
  5. The Magnificent Monsters of Cedar Street by Lauren Oliver, illustrated by Ethan Aldridge
So, I don’t read a ton of fantasy books, but when I give them a chance, I usually like them. So, this I’ve got to try.
  6. My Life as a Potato by Arianne Costner
This has great reviews on Goodreads and just looks like fun.
  7. Seven Clues to Home by Gae Polisner and Nora Raleigh Baskin
I’ve read and enjoyed Nora Raleigh Baskin’s other works, so this might still be something I pick up this year.
  8. Three Keys by Kelly Yang
Front Desk was amazing, so why haven’t I read this yet? I’ll definitely be reading this soon.
  9. Twilight Hauntings by Angie Sage
Another fantasy title that I’d really like to try!
  10. The Vanderbeekers: Lost and Found by Karina Yan Glaser
I love the Vanderbeekers, so this is one of those books I’ll be gravitating to when I need a comfort read!

Are there any books on your TBR list that are lingering from last year? Are you planning on reading them?
