Sundays are for Baking

It’s that time of year when the mornings are starting to get cold and I refuse to turn the heat on because it will eventually warm up. So, I turn to baking to make some delicious comfort food, but also heat up the kitchen with the oven! After all Sundays are for baking!

I’ll be honest, I actually prefer to cook over bake. Cooking allows for a little more room for experimentation and trying new things. But, every once in a while, I get into a baking mood. And then I want to create something yummy and pretty to look at!

With extra blueberries in the fridge, I decided to make an all-time favorite – blueberry muffins! I chose the To Die For Blueberry Muffins recipe from Allrecipes.com. What I love about this recipe is that it’s not your typical lemon blueberry muffin recipe. It’s a little more decadent with a cinnamon-sugar streusel sprinkled on the top which works really well with bright, tart blueberries.
