It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 9/14/2020

What I Read

Finally! I’m back in the reading game. I’ve had to very purposefully set aside time to open up a book over the past few weeks. And it’s working, I’m trying to go to bed earlier or take time during my morning or lunch time to read at least a few pages.

I read the second in the Six of Crows duology – Crooked Kingdom this week and while I wanted to linger in the Ketterdam world, I was also reading it as fast as I could to find out what happened! This was an amazing series by Leigh Bardugo – full of fantasy, adventure, intrigue, romance, and diversity. It had a little bit of everything and kept me turning those pages. And at 500+ pages, that is definitely a feat!

What I’m Planning to Read

I’m trying to finish up the pile of books I have in my office of ARCs for 2020. I was doing so well, but I’m going to blame COVID for not getting them read as quickly as I would have liked. Right now, my goal is to read Fighting Words by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley. I was able to start it over the weekend and hopefully I can maintain my reading momentum and read it this week. And if I finish that, I think I’m going to pick up Raising Lumie by Joan Bauer and see where I end up!

What are you reading plans this week? Anything I should put on my list?
