It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 4/13/2020

Last Week

Alright, I continue moving forward with my insane TBR list and still managed to throw in a little guilty pleasure for the fun of it too! This week I read Home for Goddesses and Dogs by Leslie Connor, Owly: The Way Home by Andy Runton, and Lily to the Rescue by W. Bruce Cameron. And as I mentioned, on a whim, I grabbed an old Nora Roberts paperback from work. Sometimes, I just want to read some fluff for fun. I already know there will be a happy ending and I already know the general plot. It’s just a nice little escape! Although these two were really old – 80s and 90s as the main character was trying to call the office and had to find a payphone!

Reading List for Week of 4/13/2020

So our state and local area is supposed to peak in terms of COVID cases this week. I went to the grocery store on Saturday and planned out two weeks worth of meals, so I don’t plan on going out too much at all. I’ll have to stop at work a few times, but other than that, I’m looking at another few weeks in the house.

I wish I had more energy to read after working all day, but trying to keep things moving is definitely exhausting and there have been many nights that I’ll read about five pages before falling asleep with a book still in my hands.

But, I’m hoping to get to a few books this week! I still have Goldie Vance: The Hotel Whodunit by Lilliam Rivera, and Brightstorm: A Sky-Ship Adventure by Vashti Hardy from last week. Plus, I want to read The Derby Daredevils: Kenzie Kickstarts a Team by Kit Rosewater and a host of picture books too!
