Storytime Theme: Snow
It’s kind of ironic that I’m posting my Storytime Theme: Snow today. In my neck of the woods, our high today is 66°F which means I’ll be outside walking the pup with a sweatshirt on instead of my winter coat, hat, mittens, and boots.
I have a love-hate relationship with snow. I love watching it fall and how pretty and quiet the world is, but when you live on a corner lot in the suburbs, it also means a lot of shoveling. We’ve been lucky so far to have a very mild winter, but I know two things – 1, it probably won’t last (we get our worst weather in late January and February) and 2, it’s probably a sign for deeper issues related to climate change which is awful.
That being said, I’m going to take advantage of the weather we have today and continue to be more mindful about how I can make small changes in my life to help the environment. Here’s hoping that this adorable storytime will give you some great ideas for your classroom, library, or just a few books to share at home!
