We’re celebrating my partner’s birthday this weekend with karaoke, brunch with family, a delicious chocolate cake and lots of time with friends. I love that this year, it’s the weekend before Thanksgiving, giving us a lot of time to celebrate. We both have birthdays around the holidays, so getting time to actually celebrate our birthdays isn’t always easy. But this year, I wanted to give my partner a chance to celebrate his birthday the way he wanted to with lots of opportunities to enjoy and his favorite chocolate cake. Do you sense a theme? He adores this chocolate cake, a recipe from my grandmother that makes the moistest cake around. Top with lots of creamy chocolate buttercream for a decadent treat!
