natalie lloyd quote

I first experienced Natalie’s writing when I read A Snicker of Magic and completely fell in love with her writing style. It’s some of the best writing I’ve read in middle grade fiction. It’s filled with sentences that made me pause mid-paragraph to absorb the beautiful vocabulary and sentence structure.

Each of Natalie’s books adds just enough magic to provide a little sparkle to the storyline in a usually, very realistic setting. This type of fantasy is commonly referred to as magical realism and are some of my most favorite books to date. Natalie has a way of creating some absolutely amazingly real characters with unique personalities and fun names. Plus, her covers are absolutely gorgeous with beautiful color palettes and a very similar look and feel.

Natalie’s new series, The Problim Children is completely different from her other books as far as magical settings go. But, it has some absolutely amazing characters and some absolutely amazing situations. “The seven Problim children must move into their grandfather’s deserted home in town. Soon they’re searching for a treasure, while the towns rumor mill churns. This story is filled with quirky characters, laugh out loud adventure and quiet moments that fill your heart!”

Take a few minutes to find some of Natalie’s titles at a local indie bookstore or library, you won’t be disappointed, I promise! If you want to learn more about Natalie and her books, check out her website and social media as well!
