Review:

This title has been sitting in my review pile for ages and I kept thinking, “There’s plenty of time before Thanksgiving!” And now we’re a few short weeks away from Christmas! But, I didn’t want to wait any longer to talk about this book and hey, thankfulness shouldn’t just be celebrated at Thanksgiving!

I love books with two main characters – Frog and Toad, Elephant and Piggie, Duck and Hippo – there’s always that one that tends to be a little more outgoing and one that likes things plain and simple. And that’s how it is with Duck and Hippo – Hippo wants a good, old-fashioned Thanksgiving, while Duck is so excited to be jumping in piles of leaves and inviting all their friends.

This is the third book in the Duck and Hippo series and I love their relationship – how they may look at things differently, but love and respect each other. This is a much needed addition to the small number of titles available for Thanksgiving books – a perfect fit for the holiday!

Final Thoughts:

In the end, this is a story about being thankful for the friendships you have and accepting people for who they are (and celebrating it)!
