#blogbookaday: The Truly Brave Princesses

The Truly Brave PrincessesSummary:

“Maybe it’s time to realize that each and every one of us could be a princess!

Princess Nin is a firefighter, Princess Gilda is a supermarket cashier, Princess Agnes is retired, and Princess Liang is in a wheelchair. This gallery of princesses gives visibility to a lot of women who do not fit with the traditional conception of a princess. Maybe it’s time to realize that each and every one of us could be a princess.

“The Truly Brave Princesses” is an original, elegant, exquisite, and extraordinary picture book for children ages 4 to 8 and certain to be an enduringly popular addition to family, daycare center, preschool, elementary school, and community library collections.” (Taken from Goodreads)

Review:

A fun look at finding the princess in everyone regardless of who they are. This book celebrates women and girls from different ethnicities, cultures, abilities, and ages allowing everyone to find a princess that fits their unique style. This would make a great book for a princess-loving little girl and would be a great conversation starter about what makes your little one a princess.

Personal Reaction:

This would make a great book for a princess-loving little girl and would be a great conversation starter about what makes your little one a princess. I could see using this book for a library activity or even a princess birthday party as a craft project. Girls can celebrate their unique personalities and traits that make them special!

#blogbookaday (1)This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
