It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 10/15/18

Lots of work late led to little time to read, but I was able to finish Hope in the Holler by Lisa Lewis Tyre – it was a sweet story about what home looks like and how to find it. I just started Harbor Me by Jacqueline Woodson and I’m already looking forward to seeing how the characters grow throughout the story and I’ve got Ghost Boys with me while I’m away at a conference. Have you ever had a book that you’re hesitant to read, but know that when you do, it’ll all be worth it? That’s how I feel about Ghost Boys – I’m not ready to read a book with such heavy themes, but know that it’s a reality that so many kids face and it’s something I need to understand even more. I’ve still got

  • The Book of Boy by Catherine Gilbert Murdock
  • The Season of Styx Malone by Kekla Magoon
  • Hurricane Child by Kheryn Callender

on my reading list, so here’s hoping I can read these when I get back from my conference!

What are you reading this week?
