Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Places I’ve Visited

For this week’s prompt, I decided to share some of the beautiful libraries I’ve visited on my travels around the United States! (There are also amazing libraries worldwide that I’ve visited, but I decided to keep this “close”). When I visit a big city, I try to make a point of stopping in their main library – partially to see what they’re doing for their community and partially to just enjoy the beauty of the space. Main libraries are often massive buildings, some have rooftop gardens, apiaries, amazing children’s spaces, historical significance, and so much more. Many of these buildings were built in the late 1800s with amazing renovations, some even have tours because their buildings are that beautiful. The Salt Lake City main library has multiple beehives on their roof, that you can see! You’ll often find that libraries will highlight their special collections on display which is a discovery in and of itself. They are truly a wonder to explore!
