Storytime Theme: Balloons
As with many of my storytime lesson plans this year, I’m updating a ten year old plan to give you some additional options for read alouds. Remember, back list titles are still amazing options (as long as you can still find them!), so don’t ignore those older titles, they may be just what you need! But, for today’s lesson plan, I’m sharing some more recently published picture books, some news songs, and some crafts and actitivies as well. I mean, if you’re doing a balloon storytime, I feel like you’ve got to play keepy uppy! A fair warning, it might be important for your kids to grab some latex-free balloons in case of allergies. And if all else fails, pick up some disposable latex-free gloves – they make surprisingly good balloons!
