Storytime Theme: Triangles
I’ve written up hundreds of storytime lesson plans and yet I’ve never created one for triangles. And after working on this one, I’ve fully realized exactly why – apparently there aren’t that many triangle-specific picture books out there. So, while you will see some triangle books on this list, I added a few shape-generic books as well to fill the list out a bit more. But, have no fear, remember there aren’t too many rules when it comes to selecting books for storytime. Focus more on the books that you think will work best with your audience, rather than trying to fit books into a theme. And when you had a song and fingerplay or flannel board activity, you’ve got a wonderful storytime for littles that is all about a concept that is both STEM and early literacy based!
And while you’re looking at shape-themed storytime lesson plans, take a look at a few of my other shape storytimes – general shapes as well as circles.
