Storytime Theme: Ducks & Trucks

This is one of those storytimes that really specific and yet, you can find so many great books! This is most likely because these words rhyme so well. And before I forget, please be careful when reading these stories out loud – duck and truck also rhyme with another word, that you probably don’t want your storytime kiddos to repeat! So, with that little warning taken care of, let’s get back into this storytime all about ducks and trucks!

I’m sure that a lot of people have done the requisite “things that go” storytime – it’s a perennial favorite for a reason. I know that some people will just repeat themes over the years, but I was always looking for more ideas and suggestions. So, if you’re like me, and tired of the same old, same old, why not try to put a little spin on it. Like, for example, today’s theme of including ducks with your trucks. Have fun making this lesson plan you’re own!
