Storytime Theme: Frogs & Toads
Another update from a 10 year blog post – I’m sharing recently published frog and toad picture book read alouds for an update to this storytime lesson plan. Frog books are easy to find, books about toads on the other hand are a little more difficult to uncover, but I did find a few! The same is true for music and crafts as well, but I was able to find a couple of things to round out this animal-themed storytime. As always, this lesson plan can be easily expanded to create a STEM program about the life cycle of frogs with some simple experiments rather than crafts. Or, start small and include a nonfiction book or two about frogs and toads as a way to dip your toes into a STEM program!
