Storytime Theme: Snakes
So to be completely transparent, I’m not a fan of snakes. I think it’s probably because when you come across them, it’s usually a surprise and it startles me! In fact, I had one living outside my front door for a long while and I was always afraid we’d scare each other or that I’d accidentally step on it if it decided to sunbathe on my front stoop. Regardless, snakes are not my favorite animals, but they do make for a great storytime! This is actually an updated lesson plan as I created the last one way back in 2014! It was a great sensory-friendly lesson plan, but today, I’ve included a wider variety of books, plus some fun songs and crafts too! So start slithering straight to the stacks to begin pulling titles for this lesson plan!
