Middle Grade Treasure Hunters
This is a fun list of action/adventure middle grade novels for kids who are maybe looking for a fast-paced story that is still full of heart! Whether these characters are looking for a literal treasure or maybe something a little more figurative, they’re all really great stories that would be perfect for summer book lists!
I also love this list because without really trying hard, it’s fairly diverse with both girl and boy characters and also includes characters and settings around the world! For years, I had to very purposefully find books to create diverse lists because there just weren’t as many available. And now, while I still very much want to provide diversity in my selections, it’s not as difficult as it used to be 8-10 years ago.
I love an adventure style novel with a mystery to solve, so these are right up my alley and I hope you have a reader who will love these books too! Take a look at your public library or local independent bookstore!

Addison Cooke and the Treasure of the Incas by Jonathan W. Stokes
