Storytime Theme: Letter S
The end of the alphabet is coming quick – we’re already up to Letter S! And like the Letter R last week, this is a simple storytime to pull together because there are so many amazing words that start with the letter s for kids. You can go completely animals or go nature items, or combine all sorts of words for a great storytime for kids that is full of fun.
And if these titles are striking your fancy, why not try sticky things, sunflowers, stars, socks, or sneezes! As always, adapt these lesson plans to best fit your classroom or storytime group by scaling books up or down depending on age and developmental level. You can even stretch this letter beyond just one lesson by changing things up between the read aloud picture books, songs, rhymes, crafts and activities. Hopefully this lesson plan sparks a little imagination for you and gives you a jumping off point for storytime!
