Storytime Theme: Letter J
We’re moving on through the alphabet and today we’re working on the letter J! With fun words like jam, jump, jellyfish, and Jupiter, this storytime can easily move into a STEM themed focus with nonfiction titles like turning apples into apple juice or learning about jaguars or Jupiter. But, you could also focus on a more transportation theme with things like jeeps and jet planes. I love that with a theme based on a specific letter, it really allows you to open up to a wide-variety of books that don’t really “go together” except for the first letter of the word.
Keep checking back each Monday as we make our way through the entire alphabet by the end of the year. And if you’re looking for even more great titles, check out my storytime lesson plan on Jazz or the Jungle!
