It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 10/25/2021

What I Read

Another week of working six days which, as usual, equates to less reading time! I know I’m lucky in that this is just for a short time and I won’t always be working six days a week. I got further into Archibald Finch and the Lost Witches by Michel Guyon and I can’t wait to finish it. It was my expectation that I would get a chance to finish it this weekend, but alas, all the best laid plans…

What I’m Planning to Read

And I’ve still got Cece Rios and the Desert of Souls by Kaela Rivera and Tips for Magicians by Celesta Rimington from the library. So maybe I’ll try getting into one of these as well. I am working late both tonight and Wednesday, but I’m hoping to take Thursday off so there might be a little time to read!

What are some middle grade novels I’ve got to read before the end of the year? With how slow I’m reading right now, I’ve got to get my final list together early!

I am so happy I came across your blog! My family loves our scheduled reading times and we are always looking for new books. Right now our TBR pile is a little overwhelming but there’s no deadline right? lol. Our recent picture book find that we’ve had to read and reread is “Chocolate Covered Courage with Blessings On Top”. The book is about an imaginative outdoor adventure with the main character, Davis and a very important decision she has to make to tell the truth. The rhyming is great, it’s really beautifully illustrated with lots of bright characters and colors! The book is fantastic and helps teach a crucial lesson about courage in the face of adversity that kids of any age can understand, helping to open up dialogue about telling the truth and integrity with young children! Highly recommend for early readers! If you and your family end up checking it out I would love to know what you think. Happy reading!
