It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 6/14/2021

What I Read

We got back late last night from my parents’ house. There is a mountain of laundry in my basement and stuff everywhere from unpacking the car! But, I’m so happy to see my pup! Next week, I promise I’ll give you the complete update of what I read over the past week. I never get as much reading done as I would like, but getting the chance to visit with family is wonderful!

As a reminder, the books on my TBR pile right now are for our summer book discussion for kids:

  • Jedi Academy by Jarrett Krosoczka
  • Flora and Ulysses by Kate DiCamillo
  • Never Caught, the Story of Ona Judge: George and Martha Washington’s Courageous Slave Who Dared to Run Away; Young Readers Edition by Ericka Armstrong Dunbar
  • Pay Attention, Carter Jones by Gary D. Schmidt
  • Show Me a Sign by Ann Clare LeZotte (I’ve already read this once, but need to read it again for details!)

What I’m Planning to Read

I do want to get back to reading a few on my list that I never got to before the wedding – Glitter Gets Everywhere by Yvette Clark and The Shape of Thunder by Jasmine Warga. Here’s hoping they’re at the library when I go back in tomorrow!
