It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 5/17/2021

What I Read

Between the CDC lifting a lot of regulations around mask-wearing on a random Thursday, which left me sending a bunch of emails to my manager and staff about the following morning and driving out to my parents’ house for a quick weekend trip to help work on some projects around the property, I got way less reading done than I was hoping for!

I finished up The Magical Imperfect by Chris Baron – a novel in verse about two outcasts who become friends and help each other and their community out after the San Francisco Earthquake in 1989. And I listened to/read What’s Not to Love? by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka an enemies-to-lovers YA contemporary romance. I was thinking that it would dual perspective with two authors, but the story is only written from one. It was a cute story, but that dual narrative might have made it even stronger.

What I’m Planning to Read

Alright, I’ve got just a few weeks before heading back to my parents’ house to finish getting ready for my sister’s wedding, so I need to spend some time game planning my next books and trying to get ahead on some blog posts! This week, I’m excited to pick up Flight of the Puffin by Ann Braden and maybe one or two of the last summer review titles on my TBR shelf!
