Slice of Life Day 29: Mini-Vacation

Having taken off Friday and today, I’ll be honest, a mini-vacation was exactly what I needed! I was able to get some things done around the house, work on some blogging projects, and even got a few minutes to relax. It’s not to say that I still had to send out a few emails, call work on Saturday, and stop by on Sunday to feed the turtle. But, having a few days of “free” time was so nice!

I even got started painting our bathroom remodel, finally! Yesterday, I got two coats of paint on all the trim and ceiling. Today, I’m hoping that I can at least get one coat of wall paint done. Our vanity should be showing up in the next week or so and then we’ll be able to finally put the bathroom back together.

Besides painting, I’m hoping to work on my next blogging challenge! I’ve got a lot already pulled together, but I’ve definitely got a lot more work to do. I’m hoping to get at least the first few days ready to schedule. Creating a blog post, reading list, and graphics takes time for each post and I really want to get ahead, rather than trying to play catch-up all the time!

Here’s to my mini-vacation! It’s back to work tomorrow!

slice of life

This is my third year participating in the Slice of Life Challenge. I’ll be sharing brief posts that show a glimpse of my life in story-format. I hope you enjoy just a slice of my life as a librarian, book lover, and blogger!
