Top Ten Tuesday: Green Book Covers

Today’s task was to share book covers that are purple, yellow, or green in honor of Mardi Gras! Since I’ve already created both purple and yellow lists, I decided to focus on green covers today.

I love book lists that come together in other ways that sharing a similar theme. It places books next to each other that might never be seen like that regularly. I even re-discovered a title that’s on my TBR list that I forgot about! I think that’s one of the things I like best about participating in Top Ten Tuesday – seeing books differently and sharing with other book-loving fans!

Green Book Covers

  1. Al Capone Does My Homework by Gennifer Choldenko
I loved this whole series, I think because Alcatraz Island is somewhat mysterious and intriguing.
  2. Beginners Welcome by Cindy Baldwin
This is on my TBR list right now and I’m not sure how I missed it. That’s what I love about creating lists, discovering books again!
  3. Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris Grabenstein
This is such a fun adventure, especially for book-loving kids! It’s got so many children’s book titles and characters sprinkled throughout the puzzles.
  4. King and the Dragonflies by Kacen Callender
An award-winning title, this is a 2020 must read!
  5. The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
I really enjoyed this book, the movie not so much, but the book was really good!
  6. One Last Shot by John David Anderson
I really like John David Anderson’s work and this balances family expectations with staying true to yourself so well.
  7. The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger
A great read for any Star Wars fan – this is a fun, multi-POV book filled with some quirky characters.
  8. Sunny by Jason Reynolds
The four titles in the track series were all so good. Each creating a strong character arc, that also fits together with the team.
  9. Swing It, Sunny by Jennifer L. Holm and Matthew Holm
An important story for today’s kids about a sibling’s addiction and how it can affect everyone in the family differently.
  10. Willa of the Wood by Robert Beatty
Robert Beatty creates equally creepy and page-turning with the magical world about a young night spirit that lives in the Great Smoky Mountains.

I’m not a person who organizes their bookshelves by color – it just doesn’t seem practical to me, but I do love the aesthetic!
