6 Books To Warm You Up

It’s about 25 degrees (Farenheit) right now and we ended up with at least six inches of snow last night. Plus, there was sleet and rain too, so it’s pretty gross out today! Since I’ve written posts about winter and snowmen, I decided to highlight my favorite part of snow days – hot chocolate!

I love a cup of hot chocolate after shoveling snow, walking the dog, or clearing off the car. And a little extra bonus? I’ve got Christmas cookies – perfect for dunking! There’s a Chocolate-Almond Biscotti just waiting on my countertop for the perfect cup of hot chocolate.

If you’ve only ever made your hot chocolate from the pre-packaged pouches, you’ve got to try this recipe I found on allrecipes.com. I’ve tweaked it a bit – 2/3 cup of sugar and 4 cups of milk. Plus, if you don’t have the vanilla or half-and-half, it’s no big deal! Don’t forget marshmallows or a big swirl of whipped cream for the top!
