Penzeys Spices

I was so excited last week that I got to order some new herbs and spices from Penzeys! I have a fairly large cabinet devoted to spices and although I have a mixture of grocery stores spices and others from Penzeys, you can really tell the difference. Plus, purchasing from a company devoted solely to one focus means you’re definitely getting a higher quality spice. Are they more expensive? Yes they are. But, in my opinion, it’s totally worth it for the flavor of your food.

And what I love about Penzeys, is that they often have a promotion going on. If you order X amount, you’ll receive a free spice mix or seasoning. This past week, I ordered enough to get two small jars of cinnamon (see my love for cinnamon here), plus as an extra they also threw in a spice mix that I love for things like grilled chicken and veggies!

The Penzeys’ website also has some great recipes as well. I’m constantly drooling over things like Quinoa Summer Salad or Cinnamon-Ginger Cookies. And, spices make a great gift – they’ll often have deals for teachers or themes for baking or grilling. One of my mom’s go-to bridal shower gift is a Penzeys gift box – it’s something a little different and something most people will find useful (at least if you’re a baker or like to cook).
