Storytime Theme: Food

It’s been radio silence on my blog for the past few days! We had a massive storm blow through southeastern Pennsylvania on Wednesday around lunchtime. We were one of the over 1 million people who lost power and we still haven’t gotten it back.

We tried to get our generator running (took over a day for it to finally work), only to have it storm again and had to shut it down and bring in back into the garage. We lost all the food in our freezer and refrigerator which was so awful to have to throw out. And I had to dismantle the entire turtle tank and bring it back to the library so we could better regulate his temperature. Because, oh it’s almost 90 degrees too!

Needless to say, I’m exhausted and so very happy it’s the weekend. Without Internet access and power, I plan to spend the weekend reading lots and lots of books!

But, before that happens, I wanted to share this amazingly delicious storytime centered around food and Asian American authors and illustrators! Seriously, this one made my mouth water just reading it!

…low as we can
…nice as we can (big smile!)
