It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 11/4/19

Last Week

I can’t quite believe it’s November already! Where has this year gone?!?!? I took a long weekend and went to visit my parents and brother’s family. Our family holds a Chili Party every fall and we celebrated our 25th annual party this year. Each family brings a chili, side dish, or dessert and we get to spend the evening trying different chilis and spending time together. That being said family time and a road trip didn’t allow for as much reading this week.

I did listen to one and a half audiobooks. I don’t often get a chance to listen to audiobooks because I have a ridiculously short commute to work and the suburb I live in has pretty much every store imaginable within a 10-20 mile radius. And often, I’ll have a co-pilot on my longer trips whose reading tastes vary greatly from my own. So, audiobooks are not too often my go-to format for reading.

This week I was able to read:

  • Take the Mic: Fictional Stories of Everyday Resistance edited by Bethany C. Morrow
  • Count Me In by Varsha Bajaj (audiobook)
  • Geekerella by Ashley Poston (audiobook, almost finished)
  • When the Stars Lead to You by Ronni Davis (almost finished)

Reading List for Week of 11/4/19

I’ve got just two more ARCs that I need to finish up this week! We’ll see how much reading I get done as it’s a busy work week (I’m working late 4 out of 5 nights!). Plus, I updated my Goodreads account of the many middle grade titles I haven’t read yet. The number is slightly overwhelming, so I need to jump on the ball get started on those books too!

My booklist includes:

  • Doc and the Detective in Graveyard Treasure by Tim Tingle
  • Take the Mic: Fictional Stories of Everyday Resistance edited by Bethany C. Morrow
  • Spies: The Secret Showdown Between America and Russia by Mac Favreau
  • When the Stars Lead to You by Ronni Davis

What are you reading this week? Or more importantly, what have you absolutely loved that I just haven’t gotten to yet? You know what I like!
