6 Picture Books About Cleaning Up

For the first weekend in a long time, I don’t have too much going on. I’m spending most of my day, cleaning the house from top to bottom. It’s not that my house is horribly filthy. It’s just the day-to-day living in the house that needs to be straightened up and wiped down. After opening windows all summer, there are lots of fingerprints that need to be cleaned off of them, plus with the dog, vacuuming is a constant situation. After our first frost last night, I’m hoping this might be the last time I have to mow the lawn this season. 6 Picture Books About Cleaning Up seemed like the perfect post for a busy day of cleaning up my own home!

Just as it’s important to teach kids about kitchen skills, cleaning up is also really important. Learning not only the responsibility of maintaining a clean space but also how to keep it clean is a valuable life skill for kids of all ages. Here are just a few (fun) stories about cleaning up with varying levels of success!
