Summer of Nonfiction: Young Adult

In my Summer of Nonfiction: Young Adult list, I tried to include a diverse list of titles including personal memoirs, major historical events, and a few titles about events or people you might not even be aware of! As with my middle grade nonfiction list, there could be a number of other titles on this list. And many of these authors are known for writing quality nonfiction titles, so if you like someone’s voice, check out what else they’ve written!

In addition, if you’re looking for some other titles, check out the YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction for Young Adults and the CYBILS.

I’m so excited to try something new this summer! I’m going to be highlighting nonfiction titles for a variety of age groups and in different styles. I plan on creating lists for different age groups – picture books, middle grade, and young adult. Plus, I’d like to take a look at format as well – books filled with facts, narrative non-fiction, and graphic novel format as well.
