Blogging From A to Z Challenge – Dyslexia
Books about dyslexia are kind of ironic, really. Kids who have difficulty reading may or may not be reading books that show characters that struggle like they do. Thankfully, with the advent of eReaders, reading is much easier with the option of a dyslexic font that makes reading easier. These six books all feature characters with dyslexia from picture books to YA titles.
- Thank You, Mr. Faulker by Patricia Polacco
- Niagara Falls, Or Does It? by Henry Winkler
- Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
- Close to Famous by Joan Bauer
- Fish In a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt
- The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
I’m spending the month of April promoting diversity in children and young adult literature as part of the Blogging from A to Z Challenge. Stop by every day for a new list of titles! Also, check out other bloggers who are participating by heading over at the Blogging From A to Z website!
