It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? 2/25/19

Last Week

I finished The Night Tiger by Yangsze Choo and really enjoyed it! I haven’t read a ton of adult literature in the past ten years or so. Mostly because I absolutely adore middle grade and young adult. And usually, when I do pick up an adult fiction title, it’s usually fluff that I read to relax – Nora Roberts, cozy mysteries, etc. So, this historical fiction title that incorporates Chinese folklore is not something I would normally pick up. I loved the characters, the setting and how the folklore was incorporated into the storyline. I especially enjoyed how the characters were all connected in the end. Do yourself a favor and check this title out!

I’m most of the way through Books of a Feather by Kate Carlisle – a cozy mystery. This is in the middle of the series, but my mom gave it to me after she read it and the best part about books like this is they recap pretty well, so you don’t need to have read anything before to understand the characters or plot.

Reading List for Week of 2/25/19

I’m going to finish Books of a Feather by Kate Carlisle and definitely read On the Come Up by Angie Thomas. But, beyond those two titles, I’m not sure what else I’ve got coming up. I’d better get on Goodreads and see what else I want to read and start placing holds for hte library! On the Come Up by Angie Thomas
