8 Read Aloud Chapter Books Featuring Strong Girls

I love creating reading list geared specifically to someone special. My 8 Read Aloud Chapter Books featuring strong girls is for my best friend’s daughter. She’s an absolute book lover – and has loved reading with her parents since she was a baby and as she’s grown up, my friend would ask for recommendations to read aloud to her. At 3 and 4, she wanted to sit down and read longer books and would listen to the whole thing and then ask to hear it again. She truly is a kid after my own heart. She’s 7 now and still an absolute avid reader and reads far above grade level.

I often hear this question at the library, “What sort of chapter books could I try reading aloud to my younger child?” And inspired by my friend’s daughter, I selected these titles. A few are silly, a few deal with friendship and daily life and one or two involve some pretty awesome animals!
