Top Ten Tuesday: Best Books I Read in 2018

The best books I read in 2018 is not an easy theme for me to create! This was such a great year for kid lit! I chose twelve titles to highlight (although I could have probably picked another twelve at least!) These titles highlight diversity and are all titles I would recommend to kids at work, families I’m friends with, and other bloggers in the kidlit-o-sphere. What were your favorite titles of 2018?

  1. Hello Hello by Brendan Wenzel
  2. Thank You, Omu! by Oge Mora
  3. All Are Welcome by Alexandra Penfold
  4. The Day You Begin by Jacqueline Woodson
  5. Harbor Me by Jacqueline Woodson
  6. The Benefits of Being an Octopus by Ann Braden
  7. Ghost Boys by Jewell Parker Rhodes
  8. Amal Unbound by Aisha Saeed
  9. Marcus Vega Doesn’t Speak Spanish by Pablo Cartaya
  10. The Mad Wolf’s Daughter by Diane Magras
  11. Front Desk by Kelly Yang
  12. Ivy Aberdeen’s Letter to the World by Ashley Herring Blake
