#blogbookaday: Help Find Frank

Help Find Frank

Summary:

“Where, oh where, can Frank the French bulldog be? See if you can follow the clues and find the missing pup! Amateur sleuths will have loads of fun with this uniquely interactive book.

Frank loves to run, play, and give slobbery kisses. (He also loves to eat cheese, but DON’T FEED HIM ANY! You’ve been warned.) Then he gets lost—and it’s up to readers to find him. Is he at the park? The baseball field? Filled with detective-style evidence exhibits, maps, and detailed seek-and-find pages, this engaging story entices young adventurers to discover clues that Frank leaves behind—and eventually locate the little guy himself.” (Taken from Goodreads)

Review:

Frank is missing and it’s your job to help find him! Using exhibits, maps, and interviews, you’ll be able to follow the clues to find Frank! Seek-and-find pages and interactive clues create a fun experience for the reader – and remember don’t feed him any cheese! (His toots are the worst!)

Personal Reaction:

I absolutely loved this book – it’s such a fun concept. It would be great for an older audience as you can flip back and forth between the pages to guess where Frank is headed next. With lots of ways to make this story interactive, you can read it more than once and find something new to do each time. This story is also a lot of fun with silly illustrations and great little hints and tricks to help encourage readers to really participate in the story. Also, as a side note – you must read the dedication – it’s the sweetest thing ever!

#blogbookaday (1)This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
