#blogbookaday: The New LiBEARian

Summary:  “It’s storytime at the library but Miss Merryweather, the librarian, is missing! Dee and her friends go in search of her but instead finds a rather hairy, new liBEARian!” (Taken from Goodreads)

Review:  Little ones are anxiously awaiting storytime, but the librarian is late! After following some decidedly-not human footprints they are surprised to find a liBEARian at the desk! He’s delighted to help with storytime – scaring the little kids with roars, stomps, and growls – and the kids LOVE it!

Personal Reaction: This would be the perfect read aloud for a “library” themed storytime! It would also work perfectly with The Library Gingerbread Man by Dotti Enderle as a story about characters coming to life. I think my favorite was when the librarian came back from dealing a volcanic eruption in the Ancient History section.

#blogbookaday (1)This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
