#blogbookaday: Babies Can Sleep Anywhere

Babies Can Sleep AnywhereSummary:  “What better way to encourage a little one to sleep than with a soothing rhyme and image after image of sleeping animals! This gentle picture book introduces the sleeping habits of many animals—from puppies to whales—and compares them to the sometimes-unusual habits of human babies. In backpacks, on knees, in cradles or trees, sweet babies can sleep anywhere!” (Taken from Goodreads)

Review: A sweet story about where animals and their babies sleep with a repeating refrain of, “But, babies can sleep anywhere.” It’s the perfect bedtime story with a beautiful rhyme and diverse family images that is sure to send your little one to dreamland.

Personal Reaction: This was so cute! After just finishing up helping my partner with a photoshoot of our friends’ baby (where she fell asleep in her pineapple Halloween costume), I can attest that babies can in fact sleep anywhere! This would make a great read aloud for an infant storytime or for cuddling at home with a little one!

#blogbookaday (1)This is a new idea I’m trying on my blog this year that was inspired by @donalynbooks and @heisereads – to provide a brief review of a picture book every day of 2018. You’ll get a brief summary of the story, a review of the content, illustrations and theme, my personal reaction to the book and all the pertinent publication information! Enjoy!
