Preschool Expo

A preschool expo works really well in a community like mine that has a number of preschool and childcare options available for parents and caregivers.  This is the second time we’ve provided this program to area residents and it’s a big hit!  We partner with the Mom’s Club in our area to provide this program, which works really well because they are a great resource for marketing the program.  Rather than a yearly event, we provide this program every other year as a way for parents to visit with a number of schools.

This year’s expo hosted 13 preschools and 9 other service organizations or businesses.  Some of these included the Department of Health with car seat safety, Early Intervention, our township’s Park & Recreation Department, some tutoring services, Lakeshore Learning – a great educational toy store, and more.  Parents were very happy to be given a chance to talk with a number of school and compare and contrast in one evening the programs that are offered.  This is a great way to outreach to other childcare facilities in your community, as well as a wonderful informational program for parents and caregivers!
