Storytime Theme: Sandra Boynton

It’s time to highlight another author and this one is a fan-favorite of our tiniest readers – Sandra Boynton! With over 80 published titles, there are literally dozens to choose from! I’ve selected nine titles below, but don’t hesitate to pull out your favorite Sandra Boynton book for storytime. The only problem is that many of these titles are small board books, so it could be difficult to share the smaller illustrations. There are a few ways to work around this issue. The first, is to borrow a number of copies to share with families to read along as you read in front of the group. The other option that I thought about was displaying the digital version on a smart board or projector to make the pages large enough for everyone to see.

Many of Sandra Boynton’s titles can be sung and not just read, so keep that in mind, because I will tell you, kids love a sing-along book! They tend to be stay much more engaged when you sing (even if you don’t do it well!). Enjoy sharing this beloved author with your storytime fans.
