Storytime Theme: Astronauts

While I’ve done a number of space-themed storytime lesson plans, like this outer space lesson plan, the stars, or moon, I haven’t yet down a lesson plan about the brave people who travel to outer space to learn about what it’s like to live off of our planet. So, today’s storytime is all about astronauts and while the majority of these books are fictional titles, you can find nonfiction titles that you can also use as a way to introduce kids to the concept of astronauts and what their job entails. You can even do a whole series of lesson plans about outer space, if you wanted to take a month and do one each week! Sometimes, it’s fun to deep-dive into a topic for more than one week! However you decide to use this resource, I hope you find that it helps!
