Storytime Theme: Pollinators
Did you know that June is National Pollinators Month? I was so excited to find this out and knew that I wanted to create a storytime lesson plan around pollinators. Partially, because pollinators are so important to the environment, but also because I love finding new and unique themes to work off of.
There are tons of different pollinators out there, but I tried to pull a few of the more common animal pollinators including bees, bats, ants, butterflies, and hummingbirds. I included a mix of fiction and nonfiction titles that you can pick from and then some sweet songs and absolutely adorable crafts as well. And if you’re looking for great content, check out the National Wildlife Foundation’s website and their children’s resources on Ranger Rick!
