Storytime Theme: Ice Cream
It’s (almost) summer time and that means it’s the perfect time for a sweet frozen treat! This storytime is an update on an older ice cream storytime theme that I did way back in 2016 and a frozen treats theme I did in 2022. Ice cream is probably one of my favorite sweet treats, definitely over cake, pie, and cookies. And while I’m an equal opportunity ice cream eater (it doesn’t matter how cold it is outside), there is something about an ice cream cone on a hot summer day!
I’ve tried to include a wide variety of read alouds from board to picture books and even included a nonfiction title, so find the ones that work best for your crowd, add a song or two, and a yummy craft and you’ve got a storytime ready to go for the summer!
