2026 Blogging A to Z Challenge: Dinosaurs
It’s the 2026 Blogging A to Z Challenge and today is day 4 – the letter “D”. And how could we not go with the word dinosaurs? Dinosaurs are a forever favorite among young readers. And I am eternally jealous that toddlers and preschoolers can rattle off dinosaur names like expert paleontologists! These sweet dino books are perfect for your little reader and whether you find a character you love or facts you’ve learned, there’s a little bit of it all in this list.
There’s no harm in practicing a book before reading it aloud, this typically comes into play when you’re reading rhyming books. Some books are written by British authors and words rhyme if you pronounce them with a British accent, but not with an American one. Dinosaur names are the same, practice a couple of time before reading one of these books aloud and it will make all the difference!

2026 is my eleventh year participating in the Blogging A to Z Challenge! This year, my theme is Board Books for Babies with a focus on providing book suggestions that parents and caregivers can share with, of course, babies, but also toddlers and preschoolers! Each letter of the alphabet will focus on a different subject and will provide nine titles for each subject. While there are dozens of classic board books out there, this list includes titles published in the past 5-6 years, so you’ll get to learn about new titles, authors, and publishers! Stop by daily to check out the new books and other posts that I’ll be sharing in April.
