Storytime Theme: Women’s History Month

This is a little bit of a stretch for a storytime theme, but I thought I’d give it a try. I think in order for this type of lesson plan to be successful, you’ll need to really consider how much of each book you’re going to read and maybe even gear it toward a little bit older audience, maybe early elementary, rather than toddlers!

Women’s History Month is in March each year and I think this could be a fun way to celebrate girl power with some really great books and affirmations. You could also do something similar to what I often do for Black History Month and share some of your favorite female authors and illustrators which would be a lot of fun too!
