Storytime Theme: Castle
While there are plenty of picture books that feature castles as a background, it was much harder to find castle-specific books. So, you’ll see in my list below a wide variety of titles to share. I also think that this storytime works better with an older audience of preschoolers or maybe even early elementary school age kids, rather than toddlers based on the books that were available and how long some of them are.
You can share nonfiction books about how castles are built or who lives in them, or share silly dragon stories instead. Whatever direction you choose to take, I think this is a fun idea that you can use, especially because there’s actually a couple of songs that fit the theme as well as some really fun crafts too!
