Storytime Theme: Endangered Animals
There are dozens of animals on the endangered list and I don’t think preschoolers are too young to learn about conservation efforts being made to save this diverse list of animals. While you don’t have to make your storytime all doom and gloom, I think this can be a way to introduce the concept to younger children. In fact, you’ll only see one book specifically about endangered animals, rather I decided to build my book list around books that highlight animals that also happen to be endangered. The same goes for my songs and activities as well for this lesson plan. So here’s your invitation to try something a little different this week for storytime!
