Storytime Theme: Peekaboo
Peekaboo! I see you! This is a really fun storytime that would work especially well with babies and young toddlers. There are all sorts of great peekaboo books out there to use and I found some really cute songs and a couple of crafts and activities too. This storytime theme lends itself to highlight books with flaps or cutouts and has the potential to be very interactive. If you typically offer a storytime for toddlers or preschoolers and haven’t tried a program for babies yet, I’ve got a really basic lesson plan that you can take a look at. My library’s baby storytime, is extremely popular and it’s a great way for parents and caregivers to meet each other and offers a chance for little ones to interact with other little ones.
