Storytime Theme: Unexpected
Sometimes it’s fun to create a surprising and unexpected storytime theme for toddlers and preschoolers! Today’s lesson plan is all about surprising or unexpected storylines, characters, and settings! Whether you’re trying to get a certain bear’s hat back or being brave even if you’re not quite sure what a mouse looks like, these are fun read alouds that kids will adore!
I also chose, what I consider to be surprising songs like going on a bear hunt and the freeze dance. Plus, unexpected art projects like scratch art and white crayon resist watercolors! No matter what you choose from this lesson plan, kids are guaranteed to be shocked and will definitely have a great time!
